Due to the ongoing popularity of the Old Kitchen Tearoom, we are extending the Tearoom’s morning opening hours on Monday to Friday. Visitors will be able to enjoy the atmospheric setting from 9.00am, with a new special breakfast menu that includes a selection of toasted treats.

The Old Kitchen Tearoom was renovated at the beginning of the visitor season, facilitated by two generous donations from the EHDC Councillor Tony Costigan and the Hampshire County Councillor Mark Kemp-Gee. Part of the change included a new seasonal menu, with more emphasis placed on using ingredients from the local area. Since the renovation, visitor numbers to the tearoom have nearly tripled with customers vocalizing their positive feedback online. One visitor wrote on TripAdvisor:
“Really enjoyed my lunch in this a very relaxed, beautiful location. My Brie baguette was delicious and the gluten free chocolate brownie was one of the best I have tasted. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.”
Entry to the Old Kitchen Tearoom is free.
