Jane Austen's Emma

1833 American Edition of Jane Austen’s Emma.

The North American Friends of Chawton House (NAFCH) is an independent US-based volunteer-run non-profit and a registered 501(c)(3). All but approximately 4% (for administrative costs) of NAFCHL donations go directly to Chawton House to support its ongoing work of fostering greater awareness, understanding, and research into early women’s writing. Your donations help to maintain and develop the organisation’s unique collection of manuscripts and books, sustain the house and its gardens, and support the varied programs of exhibitions, lectures, conferences, and tours – all to ensure that the work of these women writers lives on.

Our Board of Directors includes: Janine Barchas (President), Deborah Barnum, Pam Braak, Inger Brodey, Linda Dennery, Isobel Grundy, Gina King, Cheryl Kinney, Paul Savidge, and Carole Stokes.

As Chawton House continues its transition to self-sufficiency, all donations to NAFCH will be applied where needed most. Please be as generous as you can.

With your donation of $50 or more, you automatically become a ‘Friend’ and you will receive all the Friendship benefits outlined here.

You will receive a tax receipt acknowledgement for your donation.
