Celebrating the opening of the new Music at Chawton series, this vibrant and entertaining evening, led by Anna Sideris and Béatrice Dupuy, will engage seasoned opera-goers and newcomers alike.

The rich layers of Anna Sideris’ appealing lyric soprano, conveyed sensual sauciness and flashed with feistiness…” (Claire Seymour, Opera Magazine). Anna Sideris is a lyric coloratura soprano working on the opera stage and recital platform, recognized for her dramatically engaging performances and richness of tone. Recent operatic performances include: Violetta ‘La Traviata’ (Verdi) and First Lady ‘The Magic Flute’ (Mozart) for Oxford Opera, Borka ‘Borka’ (Hepplewhite and Yelland) for Ignite Music, Yum Yum ‘The Mikado’ (Gilbert and Sullivan) for Merry Opera, Giulia Grisi ‘Victorian Pantomime’ at Kensington Palace, Donna Elvira ‘Don Giovanni’ (Mozart) for Rogue Opera and Opera Loki; False Angele ‘The Tsar Wants His Photograph Taken’ (Kurt Weill); Susanna ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ (Mozart) for Dartington Opera and Merry Opera Company; chorus mentor ‘Wagner Project’ and ‘Lady MacBeth of Mtsensk’ (Shostakovich) for Birmingham Opera. 

After studying literature and singing in Aix en Provence, Béatrice Dupuy has performed throughout France and Europe. Roles include The Secretary The Consul (Théâtre de l’Athénée), Lulu de Colmar Verfügbar aux enfers (Ravensbrück), Sister Sofia Sound of Music (Théâtre du Châtelet), a Woman Magdalena (Théâtre du Châtelet), Carmen and Mercedes Carmen (on a tour in France), Flora Traviata (on a tour in France), Maddalena Rigoletto (on a tour in France), Taven Mireille (festival in Provence), Fenena Nabucco (on a tour in France), Mademoiselle Lange La Fille de Madame Angot (in Marseille). She has sung for Opéra de Marseille, Toulon, le Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse, Théâtre du Chatelet, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Opéra National de Paris, Opéra National de Lyon, Grange Park Opera.

Chad Vindin is a vocal coach at the Royal Academy of Music and a staff pianist at the Royal College of Music. He regularly performs across the UK and internationally. As a collaborative pianist, he is the winner of the accompanist prize at the Royal Overseas League Competition, the Ludmilla Andrew Russian Song Accompanist Prize at the Royal Academy of Music, and the Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards Accompanist’s Prize at the Wigmore Hall.
