In this workshop, we will be tackling how to tell rambling roses and climbing roses apart, the different techniques needed to prune them and why it’s done that way. After a demonstration you will be able to have a go under the watchful eye of Thomas Stone.
Thomas Stone is a professional gardener, speaker and blogger with over 28 years Horticultural experience, working at places such as Mottisfont Abbey Gardens, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and several private gardens as head gardener. He is currently a member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, Professional Gardens Consultant Association and an associate of The School of Garden Management.
Tickets are £75 per person. Refreshments and lunch are included in the price.

Itinerary:
9.30-10am: tea and coffee on arrival
10-10.20am: introductions and brief layout of the day
10.20-10.50am brief tour of garden, finishing at the rose garden
10.50-12.00: onsite demonstration
12-1.00pm: lunch
1.00-3.00pm: practical participation
3.00: final questions and goodbyes
Please bring your own gardening gloves and wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
