Open for October half-term, meet the makers behind our spooktacular Gothic Garden trail…
We’ve always known we had an exceptionally talented team amongst the younger members of the Chawton House staff and the creativity and imagination demonstrated in our Halloween garden trail only serves as proof for what they can do! From ghostly figures dancing on the lawn, to a giant spider ensnaring wanderers in the Wilderness and floating heads dangling from the fairy tree, it’s fair to say we’ve never seen anything like this before at Chawton House.
The Gothic Garden Trail was created by Sasha Dean, General Assistant, and Lucy Abraham, Events Assistant. They handmade each of the features on the trail using a variety of materials, including chicken wire, paper mache and even a child’s pop-up tent!
Explore our Gothic Garden Trail and look for a Grim Reaper in the old Shepherd’s Hut a dog’s ghost in the old Knight pet cemetery. Entry to the Gothic Garden Trail is included in admission but any child wearing a costume gets to visit for free!
