Chawton House Library is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the publication of Jane Austen’s Emma, by John Murray, in December 1815, with a landmark exhibition ‘Emma at 200: from English Village to Global Appeal’.
Many of our supporters will know that this year is the bicentenary of the publication of Jane Austen’s novel Emma.
We are excited to announce the introduction of new display cases here at Chawton House Library.
On 5 September we celebrate 20 years since this landmark in television history.
