Saturday 15th February 2025
Venue: Chawton House
10.30am-3.30pm (1 hour lunch break)
Unwind, create, and learn a new skill as we welcome the Spring at Chawton House.
Join us for the day for this beginner’s embroidery workshop, led by award-winning Royal School of Needlework graduate Emily Barnett.
In the historic setting of Chawton House, you will learn traditional needlework skills that have been cherished throughout the ages. You will create your own beautiful snowdrop motif using three simple stitches – back stitch, stem stitch, and chain stitch. The image has been designed specially for this event by Emily, and was inspired by the spring flowers at Chawton House.
All materials, tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided during the workshop. Your ticket also includes entry to the House and Gardens, allowing you to explore the exhibition or enjoy a peaceful stroll in the historic grounds during your lunch break.
