Bring the entire family together this February half term, with kids trails on offer Wednesday to Sunday, and Billiards Room activities on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
During half term, Chawton House is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-3:30pm, with last admission at 3pm.
What’s On
In the House:
Heraldry Trail through the house – find the coats of arms, and design your own
Wednesday 11am-2pm: Arts & Crafts – make your own Spring Flower bouquet, or try your hand at kite-making, before trying out your kite on the South Lawn
Thursday 11am-2pm: Quills & Ink – have a go at writing a letter, poem or drawing a picture using handcut quill pens – the perfect gift for Mother’s Day
Friday 11am-2pm: Seed Planting – dig into the joys of Springtime gardening by starting off your own plant.
*Activities will take place in the Billiards Room on the first floor on a drop-in basis. Children must be supervised but parents will be able to purchase hot drinks and cake in the Billiards Room.
In the Grounds:
Take some fresh air as you enjoy our stunning display of snowdrops through the Wilderness, with four trails for kids to choose from at the Tea Shed:
Spring Flowers Trail
Bird Scavenger Hunt
Parkland I-Spy Trail
Parkland Poo Trail
*Don’t forget to visit the Tea Shed again after you’ve completed the trail to collect your prize.
The Old Kitchen Tearoom will also be open Wednesday to Sunday, serving delicious lunches and homemade cake.
All trails and activities are included in the admission ticket to Chawton House.
