Saturday 27th August 2022

Venue: Chawton House Library

Join Julia Morgan on Saturday 27 August for an Introduction to Watercolours Workshop in the stunning Walled Garden at Chawton House.

During the workshop, you will learn basic colour mixing and how to develop your own style of painting flowers, using simple yet effective washes and brushwork.

Following a demonstration of how to paint petals and foliage, in both a controlled and loose, impressionistic style, you will choose a floral subject from the Walled Garden and begin painting. Julia will be available throughout the workshop to provide support and guidance.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and the admission price includes all materials and a cream tea.

Please note that in the instance of poor weather, this workshop will be relocated to the Billiards Room inside Chawton House.
