Join Chawton House’s in-house photographer, Claire Lewis, for a fun and informative photography workshop, focusing on capturing picture perfect photographs of the stunning spring flowers blooming in the Chawton House Gardens.
The perfect workshop for beginners or for those looking to improve their photography skills, Claire will work closely with you throughout the day to ensure that you leave the workshop with a better understanding of how to use your camera or phone and with the skills to capture beautiful photographs of spring flowers and the stunning Hampshire countryside.
This workshop will take place mostly outside in the beautiful setting of the gardens so you can practice the skills you will learn throughout the day. You will also have exclusive access to a room inside Chawton House, where you will spend the morning going through the basics on how to use your camera.
Workshop costs £75 and includes a light lunch from the Old Kitchen Tearoom.
About Claire Lewis:
As a photographer I want to share what I see, the magic of the light, that moment which stops you in your tracks and be that visual storyteller. I’m lucky that I can travel so much and have had the opportunity to photograph some amazing moments- The Bolshoi Academy, Moscow, and the Thumbelina Live Ballet are just a few of my highlights.
In the UK my main body of work is Commercial Photography. Whether I’m working with a small business who are wishing to break into the media world, creating visuals for websites or just getting those important general marketing captures, I love collaborating with creatives to bring a production value everybody can feel proud of.
Having started my journey from college days in the dark room to full digital today, building my own studio has given me a vast amount of knowledge that I love to share. Sharing my knowledge through teaching small groups at Chawton House is when I can share my experiences and teach you some of the tips and tricks of the photography world.
