Disabled accessUnfortunately, access for wheelchair users and visitors with impaired mobility is somewhat restricted and this is reflected in the ticket price. Visitors can access the ground floor Library, the Great Hall, Old Kitchen, and Library Terrace Gardens. Wheelchair users will need assistance if visiting alone, so please let us know and we will make arrangements to support you during your visit.

Only certified assistance animals are allowed in the House (including the Tearoom) and Garden, and at events. Other animals on short leads or equivalent are welcome throughout the gardens and outside the tearoom, where water bowls are available for them. We ask all dog owners to clean up after them and use the dog bins provided. These are located by the main entrance, next to the church, and in the wilderness area of the garden.

We request that backpacks are not worn on backs around the house because of the risk of damage to the building and collection. Please either wear backpacks on your front, or leave them in the Front Office or request a locker for your visit.
