Wednesday 16th February 2022

Venue: Chawton House

12:30pm-3pm or 2pm-4:30pm

Following the popularity of our January Botanical Women Tours & Afternoon Tea, we are now releasing a brand new date for February.

Join us for a Curator’s Tour of Botanical Women before enjoying a delicious Afternoon Tea, with a menu inspired by the beauty of spring.

From as early as the 17th Century, women have played a crucial but often hidden role in horticulture and plant science. These women were writers, artists, collectors and educators who popularised horticulture and the study of plants, and played a crucial role in the advancement of botany. Discover the stories of horticulture’s hidden heroines on a guided tour of the exhibition with the Curator and be one of the first to see the new illustrations on display after the pages have been turned over to show the spring flowers that will soon be blooming in the gardens.

After the Tour, take a seat and relax while enjoying a delicious Afternoon Tea.

Please email dining@chawtonhouse.org once you have booked to notify us of any dietary requirements you or any of your party may have.
