This Halloween half term, bring the kids for a frightfully fun day at Chawton House!

For one day only, the House is theirs! They can be as noisy as they like while exploring our spooky trails, running around the gardens, and joining in some hands-on Halloween crafts.

Get creative in the Old Kitchen Tea Room in our Pumpkin Carving Workshops at 10.30am or 2.30pm Take home your very own spooky creation – perfect for lighting up your doorstep on Halloween night!

House entry includes spooky trails, access to the gardens, and broomstick or wand-making in the Great Hall throughout the day.

Kids House Entry: £5 (includes: access to the House, spooky trails, gardens, and broom/wand making in the Great Hall)

Adult House Entry: £10 (for adults accompanying children only)

Kids Pumpkin Workshop: £7.50 (includes workshop, all materials and tools, squash & a Halloween treat, plus full House Entry

Adult Pumpkin Workshop: £5 (special event price for accompanying adults, includes tea/filter coffee & full House Entry)

Good to Know

  • Dressing up encouraged! Witches, wizards, ghosts and ghouls are welcome.

  • Parents must remain with children throughout the day.

  • Tearoom closed – only drinks included with the workshop will be available.

  • Booking essential for pumpkin workshops – spaces are limited.
