Create a beautiful collage inspired by the stunning garden and botanical themes around Chawton House!

Examples by previous workshop attendees.

Led by collage expert and former Illustration student, Cerys, you will be creating your own beautiful collage inspired by the stunning gardens of Chawton House, and the botanical themes throughout our new exhibition, HomeMade Histories: Letters, Art & Embroidery! During this workshop, you will take a walk around the house and gardens, finding things that spark your creativity and sketching them as you go. This could be anything in the gardens or the house, from the spring flowers to a piece of artwork on the wall; whatever makes you feel inspired. From these sketches you will create your collage using materials provided. The collage can be A3, A4, or even smaller. This workshop is a great opportunity to try something new and meet other creatives, or develop a skill even further.

No previous experience is required, just come along with an open mind and something to sketch with.

All collage materials, as well as tea and coffee will be provided during the workshop. You are welcome to bring your own materials to work with if you wish to do so, but this is not required. Your ticket will also include entry to the House and Gardens, so you can explore after your workshop. You can also visit our new exhibition, HomeMade Histories: Letters, Art & Embroidery.

Tickets: £18pp including House and Gardens entry, all materials and refreshments.
