Sunday 24th May 2026

Venue: Chawton House

Head up to the Walled Garden to take part in a day of creating, crafting and connecting with other artists!

Sunday 24th May, 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm.

Join us on the second bank holiday weekend of May for the first Chawton House Create & Connect! Take a scenic walk up to the Walled Garden, where you will find the tables set up for a day of creating, crafting and connecting with other like-minded artists. You can bring any project you are currently working on, or start something completely new. All disciplines are welcome, including but not limited to; drawing, painting, sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, and writing. There will be limited materials provided, so it is strongly encouraged that you bring your own!

This will be a perfect chance for creatives to connect with one another and work on their projects, whilst being surrounded by nature and tranquillity.

There will be two session running throughout the day, 10am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm. Your ticket will include admission to the house and gardens along with cold drinks and biscuits throughout the session.

We are also running other events on the South Lawn which include a pop up museum, a second hand book fair, a craft stall run by our Christmas Committee along with some outdoor garden games and colouring for the kids. There will also be a barbeque in the evening running from 5pm-7pm. Head to our What’s On page to see more information about these, along with our other upcoming events.

Tickets cost £12.50 (include House & Gardens entry and refreshments)
