Join local artist Julia Morgan for a creative Sunday, painting your very own secret garden at the height of Summer.
Inspired by Chawton House’s stunning Walled Garden, you will learn how to capture the colours of the beautiful plants and flowers on a contrasting watercolour wash background, using easy and effective paint techniques.
Enjoy a morning stroll around our picturesque gardens before joining Julia in the Billiards Room, where she will demonstrate how to create interesting backgrounds for your work. Relax in peaceful surroundings, with Julia on hand to assist you as you create your very own secret garden in watercolour.
10am: Arrival – chance to visit the Walled Garden and take inspiration photos prior to your session
10.30am: Tea & Coffee served in the Billiards Room
1-1.30pm: Lunch break (please indicate when booking whether you would like to bring your own lunch or pre-order from the Old Kitchen Tearoom. If pre-ordering lunch, we will contact you in advance of the day)
Tickets: £50pp, includes all materials, equipment, tea & coffee, and House & Garden entry. Please note that bookings for this workshop will close three days before, on Thursday 26 June.
